Academies of Math and Science (AMS) is seeking a passionate, data-driven Art Teacher for K–8 to deliver standards-aligned instruction in Phoenix, AZ. The role focuses on building foundational literacy, numeracy, and critical thinking skills while maintaining strong classroom culture.

AMS emphasizes collaborative professional growth, family engagement, and data-informed decision making to support multilingual communities and Title I populations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field
• Valid Arizona teaching certification in a relevant subject area
• Minimum of three (3) years of K–12 teaching experience
• Demonstrate strong classroom management skills and a data-driven instructional mindset
• Commitment to serving Title I and multilingual communities

Responsibilities

• Deliver rigorous, standards-aligned instruction aligned to AMS curriculum frameworks.
• Differentiate instruction to support students performing above and below grade level.
• Use formative and summative assessment data to drive instructional planning and interventions.
• Build strong foundational skills in reading, writing, and mathematics.
• Establish and maintain a structured, positive, and high-expectations classroom environment.
• Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress and lead conferences.
• Collaborate with grade-level teams and instructional leaders to improve teaching practices.
