Job summary

Friendship Public Charter School is seeking an ELA Interventionist to provide targeted ELA instruction for K–8 students needing extra support. You will collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to design intervention plans and monitor progress with data-driven tools, helping to integrate interventions into the regular classroom.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree in Education or ELA, a valid teaching certification, at least 2 years of ELA teaching experience, and comfort

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, ELA, or a related field.
• Valid teaching certification/license for the appropriate grade levels.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience teaching ELA, preferably in a K-8 setting.
• Strong knowledge of ELA intervention strategies and best practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, administrators, and parents.
• Proficiency in using technology and educational software to enhance ELA instruction.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and small group ELA instruction to students identified as needing intervention.
• Develop and implement effective ELA intervention plans tailored to the specific needs of each student.
• Use data-driven assessment tools to monitor student progress and adjust instruction as necessary.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers to integrate intervention strategies into the regular classroom setting.
• Assist in the development and implementation of ELA curriculum and instructional materials that support diverse learning styles and abilities.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate regularly with teachers, parents, and administrators.
• Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in ELA instruction and intervention.
• Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student engagement and achievement.
