Job summary

Kansas City Public Schools is seeking an Academic Support Teacher (ELA and Math Intervention) to provide targeted intervention for students in need. You will plan small-group and individualized lessons, deliver instruction, and monitor progress to guide intervention services.

Ideal candidates hold Missouri teaching certification, have at least five years of teaching experience, and are skilled in differentiating instruction and using data to drive planning.

Qualifications

• Hold or be eligible for Missouri teaching certification.
• Minimum of five (5) years of teaching experience.
• Knowledge of the Missouri Learning Standards.
• Background experience and knowledge in elementary instruction.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct instruction to students identified for intervention in small groups or individually.
• Assists in scheduling intervention access and documents preparation.
• Regularly conducts assessments to monitor needs and generate data reports.
