Friendship Public Charter School is seeking a dedicated ELA Interventionist to join our team. The role provides targeted ELA support to K-8 students to help them meet grade-level expectations.

The successful candidate will collaborate with teachers and families to implement intervention strategies, use data to monitor progress, and contribute to curriculum development to support diverse learners for the 2026-2027 school year.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Education, ELA, or a related field.
• Valid teaching certification/license for the appropriate grade levels.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience teaching ELA in a K-8 setting.
• Strong knowledge of ELA intervention strategies and best practices.
• Proficiency in using technology and educational software to enhance ELA instruction.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and small group ELA instruction to students identified as needing intervention.
• Develop and implement effective ELA intervention plans tailored to the specific needs of each student.
• Use data-driven assessment tools to monitor student progress and adjust instruction as necessary.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers to integrate intervention strategies into the regular classroom setting.
• Assist in the development and implementation of ELA curriculum and instructional materials that support diverse learning styles and abilities.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate regularly with teachers, parents, and administrators.
• Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in ELA instruction and intervention.
• Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student engagement and achievement.
