Joy Tutoring Center in New York City seeks dedicated K-8 teachers for its in-person afterschool program. You will plan daily lessons, foster an inclusive learning space, and track student progress while adjusting instruction to meet diverse needs.

Qualified candidates show teaching experience, strong English skills, and a passion for ELA and math education. Collaboration with staff and parents is essential to student success.

Formación

• Certified teachers or applicants with teaching experience are preferred.
• Legal eligibility to work in the U.S. and age 18+.
• Fluency in English required.
• Ability to develop curriculums and daily lesson plans.
• Prepare and follow daily lesson plans and give clear instructions.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Empathy and understanding of individual student needs.
• 2+ years of K-8 teaching experience in diverse settings.
• Passion for ELA and math education.
• Willingness to work in a collaborative environment.

Responsabilidades

• Ensure students learn in an inclusive, safe, respectful environment.
• Develop and enforce daily lesson plans for respective grades.
• Measure class pace and adjust curriculum accordingly.
• Track attendance, academic development and behavior in afterschool program.
• Identify individual abilities and tailor methods for each student.
• Communicate with parents when necessary.
• Coordinate extra-curricular activities.
