Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in position related area is required.
• Must Hold or be Eligible to hold a North Carolina Teacher Licensure

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with all stakeholders (e.g. students, parents, colleagues) for leadership and positive relationships while focusing on high expectations and continuous improvement for student learning.
• Designs instruction (e.g. lesson plans; individualized instruction; diverse learning styles/needs) to engage all students.
• Develops and guides learning with students towards goals aligned with standards.
• Evaluates student and class performance by analyzing assessment data for instructional adjustments.
• Implements current best practice instruction and resources to improve learning.
• Maintains documentation and required reports (student data and reports; teaching certification) for compliance.
• Manages classroom structure and procedures to establish a positive, safe learning environment.
• Models professional behavior and communicates ethically, promoting respect and inclusive climate.
• Oversees assistant teachers and volunteers to support classroom operations.
• Participates in team/building meetings and parent/teacher conferences to share information.
• Responds to emergencies to resolve safety concerns and direct to appropriate personnel.
• Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
