Job summary

Mars Hill Elementary School in Mars Hill, NC is seeking a K-6 certified elementary education teacher to join our staff for the 2026-2027 school year. Salary is based on the North Carolina State Salary Schedule for licensed teachers.

The successful candidate will hold a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and an NC teaching license or be eligible to obtain one. The role requires knowledge of the North Carolina Course of Study and Essential Standards, with experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum/Bachelor's degree from an approved education program in elementary education K-6.
• NC Teaching License or qualifications to obtain NC license.
• Must understand North Carolina Course of Study/Common Core and Essential Standards.
• Experience preferred.
• Other duties as assigned by Superintendent, Principal or designee including but not limited to extracurricular assignments.

Responsibilities

• Will teach K-6 students at Mars Hill Elementary School.
• Implement state standards and curriculum across grade levels.
• Collaborate with staff to support student learning and assessment.
