Job summary

Philadelphia School District is seeking a School Counselor to provide comprehensive counseling services enhancing academic, personal, social, and career development for students. The role includes individual and group counseling, crisis prevention/intervention, and collaboration with families and community agencies.

The counselor will maintain student records, participate on multidisciplinary teams, and support bilingual students with guidance in English and a specified world language.

Qualifications

• Master\'s degree in school counseling.
• Possession of PA instruction specialists certificates (Secondary Counselor or equivalent).
• PA Elementary & Secondary School Counselor certificates.
• Enrollment verification letter for certification program (as applicable).

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group counseling to students.
• Implement school-wide guidance programs addressing social and emotional development.
• Collaborate with parents, teachers and community agencies.
• Maintain counseling records and prepare reports and summaries.
• Refer to outside services as needed and follow up with students and families.
• Support bilingual students with guidance in English and the world language.
