Job summary

City of Burlington, Vermont seeks a dedicated teacher/staff member to lead and co-lead daily craft, gym, and themed activity blocks for Vacation Camp sessions and after-school programs. Work under the direction of the Program Director to deliver safe, engaging programming during school breaks and after school.

The role requires on-site attendance, adherence to licensing rules, and collaboration with Recreation Specialists to plan engaging activities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• College coursework or degree in Education, Childhood Development, Family Studies, or Recreation preferred; current or former K-12 teachers and paraeducators strongly encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Lead and co-lead planned craft, gym, and themed activity blocks for an assigned group.
• Maintain state-required staff-to-child ratios and active supervision at all times.
• Follow all departmental and state license rules and regulations.
