Job summary

Great Hearts Invictus Lower School in Helotes, TX seeks a Special Education Teaching Assistant (K-5) to support both general and SPED classrooms. The role reports to the Headmaster and requires a high school diploma with SPED experience and possible Educational Aide certification.

The position is hourly and non-exempt. Responsibilities include small-group and 1:1 support, material modification, behavior reinforcement, and collaboration with certified teachers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; associate degree preferred.
• Experience in special education desired.
• Educational Aide certification I, II or III preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist students in small groups or 1:1.
• Adapt materials and provide modifications.
• Reinforce classroom rules and routines.
• Support behavior management and safety.
• Attend meetings and trainings; assist with clerical tasks.
