Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher with at least 24 credit hours in content area.
• Valid (State) Teaching License for Grades K-5 or 6.
• Strong technical skills in integrating technology in the classroom.
• Demonstrated volunteer or community service.
• National Board Certification or Core Knowledge Experience or Blended Learning experience.
• At least two years of successful teaching in an urban environment.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement a blended learning environment with direct and indirect instruction across Social Studies, Science, Language Arts, Health, and Math.
• Create an engaging learning environment to develop student critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Prepare students for strong academic achievement and required assessments.
• Communicate regularly with parents and track student progress with data and feedback.
• Collaborate with Special Education staff to serve students with special needs.
• Attend staff meetings and school functions outside of normal hours.
