Job summary

American Association of Colleges for Teacher Education (AACTE) seeks an Elementary School teacher for a 10-month role to plan and implement blended instruction across core subjects in alignment with state standards. You will foster a dynamic, technology-enabled classroom that emphasizes critical thinking and data-driven progress for students in an urban setting.

Responsibilities include parent communication, regular progress assessment, collaboration with SPED staff, and fulfilling after-hours

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher with at least 24 credit hours in content area.
• Valid State Teaching License for Grades K-5 or 6.
• Strong technical skills, particularly in integrating technology in the classroom to drive academic achievement.
• Demonstrated volunteer or community service.
• Experience with Blended Learning.
• At least two years of successful teaching in an urban environment.
• Candidates invited back for a second interview will be required to demonstrate strong classroom management skills, excellent instructional technique, and a collaborative attitude by two performance-based tasks.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement a blended learning environment, providing direct and indirect instruction across Social Studies, Science, Language Arts, Health, and Mathematics based on state standards.
• Create an inviting, innovative and engaging learning environment that develops student critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Prepare students for strong academic achievement and passing of all required assessments.
• Communicate regularly with parents.
• Continuously assess student progress toward mastery and keep students and parents informed by collecting data and providing feedback and assessments.
• Work with Special Education teachers and administration to serve students with special needs.
• Establish and enforce classroom rules and procedures for order.
• Attend all required staff meetings and school functions outside of hours.
• Perform morning, lunch, dismissal, and after-school duties.
• Perform other duties as deemed appropriate by the principal.
