Job summary

Studyville LLC is hiring a part-time HDT Tutor to support literacy and math for K–5 students in Chalmette, LA. You will work with small groups during the school day using our provided curriculum—no lesson planning required.

This role offers $25–$30 per hour, a 10-hour weekly school-year schedule minimum, paid training, a tutor toolkit, referral bonuses, and opportunities for career advancement. Reliable transportation and collaboration with teachers are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree OR equivalent experience is required
• 3+ years of teaching or tutoring experience
• Ability to work with K–5 students in small groups
• Reliable transportation to assigned schools
• Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and fingerprinting as required by Louisiana state law
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Deliver literacy and/or math instruction to small groups of K–5 students
• Use Studyville's provided curriculum with no independent lesson planning
• Track student attendance and daily progress
• Be a reliable, positive presence in the school community
• Work with small groups (1–4 students) in 30–45 minute sessions
• Follow the provided scope and sequence and use Tutor Tool Kit
• Record attendance and daily progress in StudyTrack; communicate progress to Program Coordinator
• Collaborate with classroom teachers and school staff to support student goals

Education

Bachelor's degree OR equivalent experience

3+ years experience teaching or tutoring

Ability to work with K–5 students in small groups

Reliable transportation
