Job summary

Granite School District in Magna, Utah seeks an Elementary Literacy Interventionist for a one-year, 1.0 FTE external- applicants-only position at Magna STEAM Academy. The role focuses on Tier 2/3 literacy instruction for K-5, starting 2026-10-05, with required licensure and Science of Reading training.

Candidate must hold USBE Elementary/EC/SPED license or equivalent, complete LETRS, and meet SB 241 requirements. ESL preferred; role begins 2026-2027.

Qualifications

• Requires Utah USBE license in Elementary, Early Childhood Education, or Special Education K-12.
• Equivalent license from another state or country; must obtain Utah license by end of first school year.
• Completion of LETRS training or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality literacy instruction to individual students and small groups (4-6) for 30 minutes daily, four days a week.
• Target instruction for K-3 students with potential support for grades 4-5 as determined by leadership.
• Utilize state-approved intervention programs aligned with the Science of Reading.
• Administer and analyze benchmarks and diagnostic assessments; develop IRPs for students scoring below benchmark.
• Collaborate with the school literacy team; monitor IRP progress; participate in monthly PLCs and SST meetings.
• Model professional standards; engage in monthly district professional learning and coaching cycles.
