Overview

Bachelor's or Master’s degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1 year School Psychologist experience required. This is a full-time contract opportunity to support students from kindergarten through 12th grade in a public school setting located in Newark, DE. The contract runs through the end of the current school year, with a strong possibility for renewal based on performance and need. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct psychological assessments and evaluations for students across grades K-12
• Provide counseling and intervention strategies to support academic, social, and emotional development
• Collaborate with educators, administrators, and families to develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavioral interventions
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to promote student wellness and success
• Maintain accurate records and comply with state and district regulations

Qualifications

• Active state School Psychologist license required
• Experience working with students in grades K-5, 6-8, and 9-12
• Strong knowledge of psychological testing, assessment tools, and counseling techniques
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with school personnel and families
• Ability to work independently and manage caseload efficiently
