Qualifications

• Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in education or related discipline from US accredited university or college.
• Required - NYS Teacher’s Certification.
• Knowledge of NY State Learning Standards.
• Must have credentials as designated by NYSED for highly qualified and certified teacher per NCLB.
• Must be authorized to work at OWN Charter Schools through NYSED fingerprint clearance.
• Able to communicate effectively and manage multiple projects to deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Share commitment to the mission, vision, goals, and objectives of OWN Charter Schools.
• Support a school culture focused on student and adult learning.
• Set high expectations and standards for student achievement and personal performance.
• Offer content and instruction that ensures achievement of academic standards.
• Use data sources to analyze barriers to achievement and guide instructional improvement.
• Provide opportunities for the community to be involved in student and school success.
