Summit Academy North in Michigan is seeking a passionate Full-Time K-5 Elementary Teacher. The ideal candidate will hold a valid Michigan Teaching Certificate with the appropriate endorsement and demonstrate a commitment to creating a nurturing, student-centered classroom that supports a love of learning.

You will develop engaging lesson plans aligned to standards, assess student progress, collaborate with colleagues, and participate in ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education is required.
• Valid Michigan teaching certificate with endorsement.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver engaging, developmentally appropriate lessons aligned to standards.
• Assess student performance using tests, quizzes, projects, and presentations.
• Collaborate with colleagues to align curricula and pursue professional development.
• Participate in school activities, meetings and events to support the school's mission.
• Maintain a safe, positive environment and clear communication with students and parents.
• Ensure regular and predictable attendance and classroom routines.
• Support a diverse learner population and adapt instruction as needed.
