Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs of the Coastal Plain is seeking an Education Director–backed Club Academy Tutor to support first through fifth grade students using a set lesson plan and program materials. The tutor prepares review materials weekly to reinforce grade-level math and literacy during the regular school day.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's level of education, at least an associate’s degree, or higher.
• For 21st Century Grant clubs, must be certified teachers.

Responsibilities

• Develop individualized lesson plans following the set program format for all assigned students.
• Tutor three times per week for 30 minutes per session, build and implement a tutoring program.
• Complete academic data reports and documentation for K-5 members.
• Create and run engaging after-school literacy games and activities.
• Provide guidance in educational programs and support students’ development.
