Job summary

Tapestry Charter School in Buffalo, NY seeks a K-4 Literacy Interventionist to provide intensive literacy support and strengthen Tier I instruction through collaboration.

You will use assessment data to guide targeted interventions, develop plans within RtI/MTSS, and coach teachers in Readers Workshop and Writers Workshop, while maintaining documentation and communicating progress to families.

Qualifications

• Certified New York State Elementary Education teacher.
• Experience providing literacy interventions or supporting struggling readers.
• Strong data-driven instruction and progress monitoring.
• Familiarity with MTSS/RtI frameworks and RtI implementation.

Responsibilities

• Deliver literacy interventions to individuals and small groups based on data.
• Collaborate with teachers, coaches, and administrators to align interventions with core instruction.
• Utilize Data-Driven Instruction protocols to monitor progress and adjust coaching.
• Provide push-in and pull-out literacy support for foundational skills (phonemic awareness to writing).
• Document student progress and communicate with families regularly.
