Job summary

Norwood Public Schools is seeking an Instructional Coach, K-4 Literacy, to support teachers in high-quality literacy instruction aligned with district goals and the Massachusetts Frameworks. The role involves coaching cycles, data-driven planning, and collaboration across staff to advance MTSS and literacy outcomes.

The ideal candidate holds a Master’s in a related field and MA licensure; at least five years of classroom experience and strong collaboration skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in a relevant field.
• Massachusetts licensure as specified.
• Minimum five years of teaching experience.
• Knowledge of MC Frameworks and evidence-based instruction.

Responsibilities

• Support teachers implementing instruction aligned with the district curriculum and frameworks.
• Facilitate coaching cycles: co-planning, modeling, observation, feedback, reflection.
• Collaborate with teachers to analyze assessment data to inform instruction.
• Lead grade-level and school-based professional learning communities.
• Model effective instructional practices through demonstrations and co-teaching.
• Support district materials and evidence-based practices with fidelity.
• Collaborate to strengthen Tier 1 instruction and MTSS.
• Partner with content coordinators and principals on literacy implementation.
• Participate in walkthroughs and district professional learning.
• Perform other duties related to curriculum, instruction, and professional learning.
