Alpha reimagines the school day with AI-adaptive learning. As a Literacy Specialist, you will design and deliver small-group K-3 reading workshops informed by real-time data, grounded in structured-literacy approaches to drive measurable gains.

You will lead daily motivation sessions, monitor progress with running records and decoding assessments, and share effective strategies across campuses. This on-site role includes relocation assistance and a six-figure compensation package.

Qualifications

• Structured-literacy certification (Orton-Gillingham, LETRS, Wilson Reading System, IMSE, CERI, Neuhaus, UFLI, or equivalent) OR a Master’s degree in reading instruction
• Bachelor’s degree in any discipline, plus 2+ years of full-time K-3 structured reading instruction in a school or clinical environment within the past 5 years, utilizing systematic phonics or structured literacy
• Proven capacity to independently design reading lessons and clearly explain your instructional content and methods, without dependence on a published curriculum

Responsibilities

• Creating small-group K-3 reading workshops informed by real-time adaptive-app data, rooted in structured-literacy approaches (Orton-Gillingham, Wilson, LETRS, IMSE, or comparable)
• Facilitating daily motivation sessions to ensure 100% of your students meet their weekly app objectives using Alpha's motivational framework (school currency, leaderboards, age-appropriate gamification)
• Analyzing AI-generated performance metrics to modify instruction during the day, not solely during planning periods
• Conducting running records, fluency assessments, and decoding evaluations to generate progress visible in the weekly campus data meeting
• Serving as the engaging, high-energy adult your K-3 students are excited to see daily
