Job summary

Alpha reimagines the school day by focusing on fast learning, mentorship, and real-world skills. This on-site Youth Development Coach role puts you with K-3 students, guiding them through app-based lessons and literacy activities to close reading gaps.

You will spend most of the day with students, from morning launch to closing, staying with them through meals and campus routines while driving weekly app goals and assessing progress. Relocation support is available for moving to a listed campus.

Qualifications

• 3+ years working directly with children ages 4-9 in learning settings.
• 2+ years teaching reading in grades K-3 within the last 5 years.
• Completed structured-literacy training or a master's in reading or literacy.
• Willing to work on-site at listed campuses and relocate if needed.
• Legally authorized to work in the US without visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Guide students through app-based core learning and track daily goals.
• Lead short, structured-literacy sessions for small groups (2–4 students).
• Diagnose gaps and design short sequences to close them and transfer learning.
• Stay with students through lunch, recess, and closing to support engagement.
