Job summary

Alpha seeks a Student Success Coach for on-site work with K-3 students in the US. You will guide groups through app-based core learning, identify fluency gaps, and deliver targeted 15-minute sessions to close gaps. You’ll remain with students through lunch and recess, deploying a tailored plan for each child.

The role emphasizes data-informed instruction, weekly progress reporting to families, and opportunities to advance into staff leadership.

Qualifications

• Will work on-site at a campus listed, with relocation support.
• At least 3 years of direct experience with children 4-9: teaching, coaching, tutoring, camps, youth programs, or similar.
• At least 2 years of that experience teaching reading in grades K-3 within last 5 years.
• Completed structured-literacy training (LETRS, IMSE, Orton-Gillingham, Wilson, Fundations, UFLI, CERI, Neuhaus, SIPPS, Really Great Reading) or a master's in reading/l literacy.
• Bachelor's degree in any subject; teaching certificate not required
• Commit to ~90% time guiding students through app-based learning and 10% to reading sessions
• Willing to work with all K-3 students, not only struggling readers
• Legally authorized to work in the US without visa sponsorship

Responsibilities

• Guiding students through app-based core learning: identify gaps, ask the right questions, and maintain daily goals.
• Conducting short structured-literacy sessions with 2-4 students, diagnosing gaps and delivering targeted sequences.
• Facilitating morning launch, life-skills workshops, and check-chart activities to sustain momentum.
• Motivating students toward weekly app goals using currency, leaderboards, and gamification.
• Staying with students through lunch, recess, and closing, managing frustration with tailored plans.
