Job summary

The University of Notre Dame is seeking a Tutor-CogSci Tutor to work with K-3 students in Goshen, IN, delivering structured literacy instruction in 1-on-1 or small-group settings. You will be paired with assigned students for the semester and join a collaborative design team of tutors, coaches, researchers, and faculty.

You will engage in curriculum development, observe peer sessions, assist with progress reports, and contribute to research projects aligned with Tutor-CogSci’s mission.

Qualifications

• Experience tutoring or teaching youth in an educational setting preferred.
• Strong interpersonal communication and ability to use basic educational technology.

Responsibilities

• Deliver structured literacy instruction to K-3 students in 1-on-1 or small group formats.
• Build a positive, encouraging learning environment that supports student voice and growth.
• Participate in team meetings, onboarding, and ongoing instructional coaching with university faculty.
• Monitor student learning and contribute to progress reports, adapting instruction as needed.
• Contribute to curriculum refinement, peer observations, or outreach projects as opportunities arise.
