Job summary

Applitrack is hiring an instructional aide at East Canyon Elementary to support K‑12 teachers under supervision. You will assist with instruction, provide tutoring, and help students access materials and complete assignments.

The role emphasizes maintaining a positive learning environment, strong organization, and teamwork with staff and the public. Prior aide or teaching experience is preferred, with emphasis on confidentiality and classroom support.

Qualifications

• At least two years of college coursework or an Associate's Degree in education or related field.
• Knowledge of child growth and development and appropriate classroom practices.
• Demonstrated ability to assist with instructional activities.
• Knowledge of subject matters and ability to instruct students at the direction of the teacher.
• Knowledgeable with word processing, databases, spreadsheets, and reports.
• Ability to maintain a positive learning environment.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Able to work under pressure and deadlines.
• Maintain confidentiality of staff and students.

Responsibilities

• Maintain high academic standards and expectations.
• Provide tutorial help to students following lessons prescribed by the teacher.
• Provide immediate feedback on student performance to students and supervising teacher.
• Assist students in locating instructional materials and starting their assignments.
• Assist the classroom teacher in delivering an effective instructional program.
• Assist with large group activities and oral communications with students.
• Guide independent study, enrichment work, and remedial work.
• Check notebooks, correct papers, and supervise testing and makeup work.
