Job summary
The Tucson Unified School District is seeking a K-3 Literacy Coach to assist teachers with scientifically based reading instruction, focusing on Tier 1/Core and data-driven support across assigned schools.
Coaches will partner with district leaders, school literacy staff, and principals to strengthen literacy instruction, provide coaching, and help students reach grade-level literacy goals by the end of 3rd grade and beyond.
Qualifications
- Must hold Arizona teaching certificate with Reading Endorsement.
- Qualified to use data to drive literacy instruction and professional development.
- Experience coaching teachers in reading and literacy interventions.
Responsibilities
- Assist teachers in implementing scientifically based reading instruction with a focus on Tier 1/Core.
- Use data to identify school needs, prioritize support, and provide technical assistance.
- Deliver professional development and coach classroom teachers to improve literacy outcomes.
