Job summary

Alpha reimagines the school day with faster learning and stronger mentorship. This is a full-time on-site Student Success Coach role supporting K-3 students at our Palo Alto, Malibu, or San Francisco campuses.

You will lead life-skills workshops, coach students individually and in small groups, and use learning analytics to help each child hit ambitious weekly goals with energy, belief, and measurable progress.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in any subject.
• At least 3 years of experience working directly with children ages 4-9 through teaching, coaching, tutoring, camps, youth programs, or similar environments.
• Experience leading group activities for young children with concrete structure to keep them engaged.
• Track record of motivating young children to achieve challenging goals with specific examples.

Responsibilities

• Lead life-skills workshops that build communication, focus, and durable skills.
• Coach students one-on-one and in groups using analytics and motivation systems.
• Assess life-skill mastery using Alpha's framework until real understanding is shown.
• Adapt coaching style to cohort developmental needs with engaging activities.
• Build relationships that encourage students to stretch beyond their perceived limits.
