Job summary

Kyrene Elementary School District No is seeking a Part-Time Instructional Assistant to support K-5 students under the supervision of a teacher. This role focuses on increasing engaged instructional time and assisting with classroom activities.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED and at least one year of experience working with children, especially those with special needs. A valid IVP Level One AZ Fingerprint Clearance Card is required.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Job Qualifications

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and one year of experience working either in a school or working with children with special needs, or any combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the duties of the job. Experience supervising children required. Demonstrated desire to learn new skills and participate in ongoing training; willingness and ability to learn methods for teaching and managing special needs students. Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with a wide variety of individuals. Valid IVP Level OneAZ Fingerprint Clearance Card is required.

Employment Information

26/27 school year; 15 hours per week; 194 days per school year

Salary

Band - Support A11- $16.53/hour entry level
Support Salary Schedule
