Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 60 college credits or an AA degree or proof of passing a state-approved para-professional assessment.
• Immunity to Measles and German Measles (MMR).
• Fingerprint Clearance Card (IVP).

Responsibilities

• Administers tests to assist teachers in evaluating students’ progress.
• Assists students individually or in groups with lesson assignments.
• Supports teachers with reading, drill work, storytelling, correcting papers and supervising testing.
• Assists with non-instructional duties (snacks, toileting, clothing routines).
• Confers with teachers to evaluate student progress and implement objectives.
• Maintains classroom and playground safety and provides a positive learning environment.
