Qualifications

• Massachusetts DESE licensure in Early Childhood Education (PreK-2) or Elementary Education (Grades 1-6) or eligibility
• Strong foundational knowledge of early literacy and phonics-based approaches
• Experience teaching in diverse settings with English Language Learners and students with IEPs
• Track record of meaningful student growth and impact on early learners
• Familiarity with EL Education or inquiry-driven models preferred
• Ability to use assessment data to drive instruction
• Clear communication and collaboration with colleagues and families
• Warmth and patience to build a structured, joyful classroom community
• Bilingual proficiency preferred (Spanish, Portuguese, or other)
• Bachelor's degree required; Master's preferred

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging daily instruction across literacy, math, science, and social studies
• Deliver structured literacy instruction using evidence-based approaches
• Build foundational numeracy with hands-on math instruction
• Design learning experiences aligned to EL Education and Learning Expeditions
• Differentiate instruction for English Learners and Students with IEPs
• Collaborate with grade-level colleagues to plan curriculum
• Partner with special education team to coordinate supports
• Engage in professional development and reflect on practice
• Foster a warm, inclusive classroom community
• Contribute to school-wide events and family engagement
