Job summary

Hebrew Public seeks a dedicated K-2 Special Education Teacher in Philadelphia to provide targeted support for students with IEPs, delivering instruction and services that align with goals and standards. This role collaborates with general education teachers, families, and specialists to ensure access to grade-level content and strong progress monitoring.

The ideal candidate has experience with IEP processes, differentiation, and data-driven instruction, and holds PA Special Education

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Pennsylvania Special Education certification or working toward it.
• Experience in urban school communities preferred.
• Strong knowledge of IEP implementation and progress monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Provide push-in and pull-out instructional support for students with IEPs in reading, writing, mathematics, and other content areas.
• Deliver specially designed instruction aligned to IEP goals and grade-level standards.
• Manage a caseload and collect/analyze progress data to adjust instruction.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, families, and service providers to support student success.
