Job summary

Findlay City Schools seeks a K-2 Mild to Moderate Intervention Specialist to provide specially designed instruction for students with disabilities. You will develop IEPs, monitor progress, and collaborate with teachers and families to support achievement.

You will maintain accurate records, follow district procedures, and participate in meetings while promoting inclusive practices, data-informed decisions, and a positive learning environment for early learners.

Responsibilities

• Provide specially designed instruction to K-2 students with mild to moderate disabilities based on IEP goals.
• Develop, implement, monitor, and update IEPs in compliance with regulations and district procedures.
• Collect and analyze student data to monitor progress and adjust instruction.
• Plan and deliver differentiated instruction with accommodations and modifications.
• Collaborate with general education teachers to support inclusive practices and curriculum access.
• Coordinate with related service providers, paraprofessionals, and families to ensure services.
• Maintain documentation of instruction, progress, IEP services, and accommodations.
• Communicate with parents about student progress and needs.
• Participate in IEP meetings, eval meetings, and conferences.
• Support positive behavior through behavior plans and classroom strategies.
• Foster safe, nurturing learning environments and positive student relationships.
• Maintain FERPA, IDEA, and state regs compliance.
