Qualifications

• Active Indiana licensure as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired (IN TVI License) required.
• Experience working with students with visual impairments across various grade levels.
• Proficiency in adapting curriculum, materials, and technology to meet student needs.
• Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with colleagues and families.
• Ability to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
• Positive, flexible approach to problem-solving in a school-based setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct instruction and consultation services to K12 students with visual impairments.
• Collaborate with general and special education staff to modify instructional strategies and environments.
• Conduct functional vision assessments and assistive technology recommendations.
• Develop and monitor IEP goals related to visual impairment.
• Offer support and resources to families to enhance learning at home.
• Participate in IEP meetings, progress reports, and case management activities.
