Job summary

Genesee Intermediate School District in Michigan is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist to support K-12 students within the MTSS framework. You will coach educators and families to develop language and communication skills and ensure alignment with district goals.

This role requires a Master’s in Speech-Language Pathology, SLP license in Michigan, and the CCC-SLP credential. You’ll collaborate with teachers, therapists, and parents to build capacity and impact student outcomes.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or MI teaching certificate with SL Impaired approval.
• Michigan SLP license or Educational Limited License with CFY eligibility.
• CCC-SLP certification from ASHA is required.
• Meet state and federal requirements to practice as an SLP in a school setting.
• Ability to obtain and maintain required licensure/certifications during employment.
• Commitment to professional standards per district, state, and ASHA guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Support development of language and communication skills for students.
• Coach classroom staff using MTSS-based strategies and activities.
• Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and educational teams to share progress.
• Demonstrate understanding of language development within students.
