Job summary

Kentwood Public Schools seeks a licensed Speech Pathologist to support students in grades K–12. The role focuses on identification, placement, and service delivery for speech and language needs within a collaborative school environment.

You will work with teachers, parents and administrators to develop plans, track progress and communicate effectively about student outcomes. Prior experience in education settings is preferred.

Qualifications

• Licensed Speech Pathologist with ASHA certification.
• Knowledge of Michigan Special Education Rules and Regulations.
• Motor Vehicle Operator's License or ability to provide own transportation.

Responsibilities

• Assist with identification and placement of exceptional students.
• Coordinate with administrators and staff to ascertain individual abilities and needs.
• Attend PPT meetings as needed for students with special needs.
• Serve as resource on speech issues and conduct in-service programs.
• Assist with dropout prevention efforts.
• Provide support to students to foster growth, self-understanding and maturity.
• Maintain records and share student information as required by law.
• Manage a large caseload with strong organizational skills.
• Travel to district buildings and meetings as required.
