Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or a related field
• Valid PA teaching certification in Special Education
• Experience in school setting preferred
• Knowledge of IEP development and inclusive practices

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and update individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with disabilities
• Provide direct instruction, intervention, and support to students in both inclusive and self-contained classrooms
• Adapt and modify curriculum materials to meet the unique needs of each student
• Assess student progress and adjust instructional strategies accordingly
• Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of student performance and IEP compliance
• Collaborate with general education teachers, administrators, and support staff to promote student inclusion
• Engage with parents and guardians to communicate student progress and foster a collaborative support network
• Participate in professional development and continuing education opportunities
