Job summary
Amergis is seeking a Special Education Teacher to join our school-based team in the Media area. The role reports to the Special Education Program Administrator and focuses on delivering quality services to kindergarten through 12th-grade students through specialized instruction, tutoring, and collaboration with general education staff.
The successful candidate will hold a valid state teaching certificate and a bachelor's degree, with a preference for LBS1 endorsement and prior classroom
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university.
- Valid state teaching certificate as required by state regulations.
- Minimum of one year experience in teaching environment preferred.
- Endorsement: Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide quality services to special education students from kindergarten through grade 12.
- Collaborate with Special Education Program Administrator in planning and implementing student programs.
- Involve in team planning, instructional planning, and consultation with general education staff.
- Deliver special instruction and provide tutorial assistance as needed
