Job summary

Blazer Jobs is seeking a dedicated School Psychologist to join a school-based team in Beaufort, South Carolina. The role involves evaluation, consultation, and intervention services within a K–12 setting, collaborating with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support academic achievement and social-emotional needs.

The candidate will conduct psychoeducational evaluations, participate in IEP meetings, provide consultation, and help implement intervention strategies.

Qualifications

• Master’s or Doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited program.
• Valid South Carolina School Psychologist credential/certification through the SCDE, or eligibility to obtain certification.
• Completion of an approved school psychology preparation program.
• Completion of required supervised internship experience in school psychology.
• Knowledge of IDEA, special education evaluation procedures, and eligibility determination processes.
• Experience conducting psychoeducational assessments and writing evaluation reports.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations and assessments to identify student strengths, needs, and eligibility for special education services
• Complete psychological assessments, evaluation reports, and required documentation
• Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions
• Provide consultation and support to teachers, administrators, and families regarding student academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs
• Assist with the development and implementation of intervention strategies and behavioral supports
• Support students through counseling, crisis intervention, and social-emotional learning strategies as appropriate
• Collaborate with special education teams to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations
• Interpret assessment results and provide recommendations to support student success
• Maintain accurate records and complete required reports within established timelines
• Promote a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment for all students
