Job summary

Blazer Jobs in Wilmington, Delaware is seeking a dedicated School Psychologist to join a school-based team. You will provide evaluation, consultation, and intervention services to support students' academic achievement and social-emotional development within a K–12 setting.

The role collaborates with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams, conducts psychoeducational assessments, assists with IEP meetings, and helps implement behavioral supports.

Qualifications

• Master’s or Doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited program.
• Valid Delaware School Psychologist certification through the Delaware Department of Education (DDOE), or eligibility to obtain certification.
• Completion of an approved school psychology preparation program.
• Completion of required supervised internship experience in school psychology.
• Knowledge of IDEA, special education evaluation procedures, and eligibility determination processes.
• Experience conducting psychoeducational assessments and writing evaluation reports.
• Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work effectively with students, families, educators, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Successful completion of required background screening and district onboarding requirements.
• Previous school-based experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations and assessments to identify student strengths, needs, and eligibility for special education services.
• Complete psychological assessments, evaluation reports, and required documentation.
• Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions.
• Provide consultation and support to teachers, administrators, and families regarding student academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs.
• Assist with the development and implementation of intervention strategies and behavioral supports.
• Support students through counseling, crisis intervention, and social-emotional learning strategies as appropriate.
• Collaborate with special education teams to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Interpret assessment results and provide recommendations to support student success.
• Maintain accurate records and complete required reports within established timelines.
• Promote a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment for all students.
