Job summary

Sunbelt Staffing is seeking an Occupational Therapist to support K-12 students in a contract-to-hire role in Illinois. You will provide therapy services, assess functional abilities, and design intervention plans.

You will collaborate with educators, families, and staff to ensure holistic student support, document progress, and participate in IEP meetings while integrating home health and teletherapy as needed.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Occupational Therapy is required.
• Active Illinois OT license (IL OT).
• Experience in school-based therapy, home health, healthcare facilities, and teletherapy for school-aged children.
• Ability to manage a diverse caseload with varying needs and abilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide occupational therapy services to K-12 students to enhance participation and independence in school activities.
• Assess students' functional abilities and design tailored intervention plans.
• Collaborate with educators, families, and support staff to ensure holistic student support.
• Document progress and maintain compliance with district, state, and federal guidelines.
• Participate in IEP meetings, delivering expertise and advocating for student needs.
• Integrate a multi-setting approach including home health and teletherapy.
