Job summary

Children's Specialized Hospital, part of RWJBarnabas Health, seeks a School Services Occupational Therapist to deliver school-based OT in a Union County district, supporting students’ academic participation and independence. You will evaluate and intervene, collaborating with educators, families, and an interdisciplinary team.

This role requires a Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy, an active New Jersey OT license, and NJ School Certification, with a full-time schedule (37.5 hours/week)

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
• Current and unrestricted New Jersey Occupational Therapist license.
• Appropriate New Jersey School Certification required.
• Experience: pediatric or school-based setting preferred; new graduates welcome with strong pediatric fieldwork.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations and assessments for educationally relevant needs.
• Develop and implement individualized, goal-oriented intervention plans for school participation and independence.
• Collaborate with teachers, school staff, and families to support IEP objectives.
• Provide guidance on therapeutic strategies, adaptive equipment, and classroom accommodations.
• Maintain accurate documentation and follow district policies.
