Job summary

Taher, Inc. in Oklahoma City is seeking a Food Service Director to lead a K-12 lunch program, manage daily kitchen operations, and ensure compliant, high‑quality meals for students.

You will oversee budgets, P&L, vendor relationships, and menu planning, while building strong district and community partnerships and delivering meals that meet USDA guidelines. Qualifications

• At least 3 years of food service leadership experience.
• Associate degree in hospitality, dietetics, or related field.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Build relationships with district leaders, staff, students and families.
• ServSafe Manager certification or ability to obtain within 90 days.
• P&L experience with responsibility for financial targets.
• Ability to manage food cost and vendor relationships.
• Proficient computer skills for email, ordering, inventory, and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily hands-on management and training of the kitchen staff.
• Develop menus that fit school community needs and USDA guidelines.
• Implement HACCP and all food safety and sanitation standards.
• Manage ordering, inventory, vendor relationships, and cash control.
• Deliver budgeted food and labor results and manage P&L performance.
• Provide catering and special event service for the district.
• Build strong relationships with district leaders, school staff, students and families.
• Create a safe, clean work environment and monitor day-to-day standards.
