Job summary

Taher, Inc. is seeking a Food Service Director to lead a K-12 school lunch program with a focus on relationships and financial results. You will guide daily kitchen operations, ensure compliant meals, and partner with district leaders to deliver exceptional service.

You will manage menus, food safety, and vendor relations while maintaining cost controls and staff development in a fast-paced educational setting.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of food service leadership in K-12 or similar settings.
• Strong budgeting, cost control, and P&L oversight experience.
• Proven ability to build relationships with district staff, families, and vendors.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily kitchen operations and training for staff to ensure high-quality meals.
• Develop menus aligned with USDA guidelines and school needs.
• Maintain HACCP, safety, and sanitation standards across the operation.
• Oversee ordering, inventory, vendor relationships, and cash controls.
• Deliver budgeted food and labor results and monitor P&L performance.
• Provide catering and event service for the district and community.
• Foster strong partnerships with district leaders and school teams.
