Job summary

Taher, Inc. is seeking a Food Service Director to lead a K-12 school lunch program. You will oversee client relationships, budgets, and daily kitchen operations to deliver high quality, compliant meals for students and staff.

You will partner with school leaders, maintain food safety standards, and ensure financial targets are met while delivering excellent service and community engagement.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of food service leadership experience.
• Associate degree in hospitality, dietetics, or related field.
• Current ServSafe Manager certification or ability to obtain within 90 days.
• Proven ability to manage and control food cost and P&L targets.
• Strong relationship-building and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the daily, hands-on management and training of the kitchen staff.
• Develop menus that fit school community needs and USDA guidelines.
• Implement and maintain HACCP and all food safety standards.
• Manage ordering, inventory, vendor relationships, and cash control.
• Deliver budgeted food and labor results and manage P&L performance.
• Provide catering and special event service for the district.
• Build relationships with district leaders, school staff, students, and families.
• Create a safe, clean work environment and monitor operations.
