Job summary

Vertex Education seeks an experienced Business Manager to serve as an outsourced CFO for public schools and to lead the in-house accounting team. You will oversee engagement, accounting, grant and human resources management across multiple clients, ensuring compliance and strategic financial direction.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in accounting (Master’s/CPA preferred) with 2+ years in school financial operations and 4+ years in a supervisory accounting role; strong MS Office and cloud skills

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in accounting required.
• Master’s in accounting, MBA, or CPA preferred.
• Minimum 2 years in School Business Office or similar environment.
• Minimum 4 years in a supervisory accounting role.
• Proficient with MS Office and cloud tools; knowledge of payroll accounting.
