Job summary

Cross Country Education is seeking a Connecticut-licensed Physical Therapist (PT) to join a school-based team supporting students in a K-12 educational setting. This in-person role focuses on helping students learn, participate, move, and thrive within the school environment.

The PT will develop and implement individualized treatment plans, collaborate with educators and families, and participate in IEP meetings to support students' educational goals.

Qualifications

• Current Connecticut Physical Therapist (PT) license required.
• Experience working with children or in a school-based setting preferred.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work effectively with students across the K-12 age range.

Responsibilities

• Provide physical therapy services to students in a K-12 school-based setting.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
• Support student participation, mobility, positioning, and functional independence within the school environment.
• Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, families, and related-service providers.
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to students' educational goals.
• Document services, progress, and student outcomes per school requirements.
• Work as part of a collaborative multidisciplinary team.
