Job summary

Gersh Autism in Issaquah, WA, seeks an Occupational Therapist to provide OT services to K-12 students across the school network. The role collaborates with other disciplines to assess, plan, and execute intervention programs aligned with IEP goals.

The ideal candidate holds WA OTR/L licensure, NBCOT certification, and at least one year of pediatric school experience, with strong communication for families and educators.

Qualifications

• Must have completed an accredited occupational therapy program recognized by NBCOT.
• Must possess WA State OTR/L licensure.
• One year of pediatric/school-based OT experience preferred.
• Knowledge of sensory processing and integration is required.
• Experience with children with disabilities is a plus.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with other disciplines to plan services and review student progress.
• Evaluates students using functional, behavioral, and standardized assessments.
• Produces comprehensive written reports to guide intervention and IEP goals.
• Develops and implements occupational therapy plans based on evaluations.
• Participates in multidisciplinary meetings and develops IEP/IEP goals.
• Teaches and supports school personnel, families, and students in therapy strategies.
• Maintains records and ensures confidentiality and compliance.
• Adjusts treatment approaches as student needs change.
• Manages a caseload of 45 sessions per week and documents attendance.
