Job summary

Cumming Group in San Jose, CA is seeking a Project Engineer (K-12) to support the Project Management Department in the field and office. You will coordinate project documents, represent the contractor on site, and assist with budgeting, scheduling, and planning.

You will work under the supervision of Project Managers, facilitate site meetings, review changes, RFIs, and submittals, and assist with closeout and occupancy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in project management, engineering, or related field required or equivalent work experience.
• 2–3 years of experience in project construction.
• Experience with design & bid formulation and project phase scheduling.
• Ability to read blueprints and communicate with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Assist top Project Manager on site with design, bid, and scheduling.
• Provide status updates for costs and schedules.
• Administer subcontracts and assist with bid processes.
• Facilitate field meetings and prepare meeting minutes.
• Maintain accurate project records and assist with closeout activities.
• Review changes, RFIs, submittals, and QA/QC processes.
