Job summary

Loudoun County Public Schools is seeking a Performing Arts Specialist to provide leadership in curriculum planning and coordination across K-12 music and theatre programs. The role collaborates with division staff, supervisors, and administrators to align teaching and assessment with district priorities and to oversee program operations.

The position requires a Master's degree, a Virginia Postgraduate Professional License with a Fine Arts endorsement, and at least five years of teaching

Qualifications

• Master's degree (Education or related field).
• Five (5) years of successful teaching experience in Music and/or Theater.
• Holds or is eligible for a Virginia Postgraduate Professional License with an endorsement in one or more areas of Fine Arts (Music or Theatre Arts)

Responsibilities

• Provides guidance and leadership on matters related to performing arts instruction for central office personnel, teachers, parents, and other stakeholders.
• Coordinates and supervises curriculum development in performing arts to align with division priorities; reviews facilities, equipment, and safety trainings.
• Designs professional development opportunities to enhance teachers as leaders in performing arts; plans and implements professional learning in Music and/or Theatre.
• Leads division-wide performing arts programs and associated processes, procedures, regulations, and division policies.
• Manages program supports and budgets; collaborates on committees to support professional learning and authentic student learning.
