Job summary

Loudoun County Public Schools is seeking a Performing Arts Specialist to lead and coordinate K-12 music and theatre programs. The role collaborates with division staff to shape curriculum, plan professional development, and align facilities, equipment, and safety across schools.

The position requires a Master's Degree, at least five years of successful teaching in Music and/or Theater, and eligibility for a Virginia Postgraduate Professional License with Fine Arts endorsement.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree required.
• Five years of successful teaching experience in Music and/or Theater.
• Virginia Postgraduate Professional License with an endorsement in Fine Arts (Music or Theatre Arts) or eligible.

Responsibilities

• Provides leadership and guidance on performing arts instruction to central office staff, teachers, parents, and community stakeholders.
• Coordinates curriculum development for K-12 performing arts to align with division priorities and safety requirements.
• Plans and delivers professional development for teachers in Music and/or Theatre and supports department programs.
• Oversees division-wide performing arts programs, co-curricular and extra-curricular activities, and related processes and policies.
• Manages program supports and budgets, serves on committees, and contributes to authentic learning experiences for students.
